We recently found ourselves in a difficult situation. We had sent a Sound Shark to a writer in Canada for him to review. Unfortunately, problems with tariffs and taxes stranded the demo unit in Canada. If no one was willing to pay the outrageous fees, we were told the Sound Shark would be discarded.

Sound Shark Saves the Day
So often, the difference between capturing the moment and missing it entirely relies entirely on timing. Our friend, Dan Weecks, from Weecks Production LLC, arrived at a military burial service that he had been hired to record with his video crew. Dan and his crew arrived early, however, due to a scheduling mix-up at the burial site, the service was moved up and nobody was notified. The video crew was still setting up a boom microphone and cameras when the pallbearers began to move the casket from the hearse to the ceremony site. With no time to set up the intended microphones or cameras, Dan relied on the Sound Shark mounted on top of his portable ENG camera to capture audio of the important event, and to ensure he documented the beginning of the service while set up of the other equipment was completed.
Sound Shark Covers CES 2017 with BeTerrific Media
Sound Shark Audio once again showcased its unique parabolic microphone at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, NV, January 5-8, 2017. This year, we partnered with Emmy-winning videographer and BeTerrific CEO Michael Artsis to conduct live interviews with key change-makers. We also captured demo videos on the CES floor, demonstrating the power of the Shark Sound parabolic microphone to capture clear audio from long distance even in the most challenging of settings.

Klover Products Makes It To The Rio Olympics!
Bexel, a major supplier of broadcast equipment to the television industry included the four KLOVER MiK 16 our 16-inch parabolic microphones in its inventory of equipment going to the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. It’s very exciting to know that our product is going to be used at the Olympics. We don’t know yet exactly how they will be used but you can be sure that we will be keeping a close eye out for them as we monitor the games.
