KLOVER MiK 16
The lightweight parabolic microphone — broadcast clarity in a three-pound handheld.
Originally created for baseball stadiums where the MiK 26 could obstruct the fan's view, the smaller dish makes the MiK 16 ideal for security applications where discreet audio capture is needed, and for professionals across industries who need mobility without sacrificing range.
The handheld models (KLOVER MiK 16 and KLOVER MiK 16 Broadcast) are constructed with our new deeper dish that provides a tighter pickup pattern. The new dish provides a pickup pattern very similar to the KLOVER MiK 09 and the KLOVER MiK 26, making it an excellent long-range parabolic microphone for long-distance recording.
The stationary models (“KLOVER MiK 16 Hard Mount”, “KLOVER MiK 16 Sound Shield”, and the “KLOVER MiK 16 in Enclosure”) are still constructed with our original dish. The original dish provides a slightly wider pickup pattern than the KLOVER MiK 09 and the KLOVER MiK 26. (We can build any model with either dish upon request.)

Hear what professionals around the world are saying about the KLOVER MiK 16 parabolic microphone.
Highly Reflective Dish
Our stiff, highly reflective dish material is made from ballistics-grade plastic and provides a fuller audio signal, ensuring superior range and directionality for different audio applications.
Lightweight
Weighing just under 3 pounds, the KLOVER MiK 16 parabolic microphone is easy to operate and transport, making it a versatile parabolic mic for various applications like streaming, sports broadcasting, and nature study.
Vibration Insulation
We use specialty vibration isolation bushings on all attachments and handles to eliminate noise that may come from an operator’s movement. This ensures crisp, clear audio capture from long distances.
Modular Construction
Attachments such as microphone yokes and handles are designed to be interchangeable so you can customize your KLOVER MiK for different jobs and easily replace damaged parts. The dish is designed to be safely stacked without scratching the critical internal surface, and its modular design is perfect for creating your own parabolic microphone kit.
Versatile Setup
With three different mounting systems, you can operate the KLOVER MiK 16 by hand or permanently affix it for nearly invisible audio capture. Its design makes it ideal as both a camera-mounted microphone and handheld device, perfect for professional settings like newscasting, documentaries, and law enforcement.
Designed For Safety
PVC is brittle and creates sharp, spear-like edges if broken. Metal parts can also cause serious injury to the operator and athlete. However, our carbon fiber parts crush upon impact. All protruding studs have also been removed from the front of the dish. (Click on the “Why KLOVER” / “Quality & Safety” menu item to see why we care about this.)
